MEZRI's research and technology
Thermosolar technology is an application of scientific, artistic and technical research on Courbism and solar energy, carried out, since 1975, in France, by MEZRI Abdou, civil engineer and doctor in thermal solar energy. This work based on scientific analogy, is inspired to physical phenomena applied in nature to animal and vegetable creatures since million years. This innovating research in art, solar energy and environment domains, is object last two decades, of three theses: first thesis on Thermosolar buildings prepared during five years; a second thesis on thermal solar systems and special-building panels, and third thesis on art and Courbistic design (www.courbism.com). The three theses are entirely prepared by professor MEZRI, initially in Higher French School of Engeneering and in his own laboratory in south of France. Those theses are the origin of public and specialized books, and also the object of publications, patents, models and significant knowledge to make technical and industrial (know-how) prepared by MEZRI, using data processing, recognized by two high French schools of engineers. Being conscious since always capital role of solar energy in development and bioclimatic situation of our planet, this is why MEZRI devoted himself, since oil crisis of 1973, to this program of at same time scientific, industrial and cultural durable development.
MEZRI Abdou was born in Kesra, a prehistoric village perched on a rock plate to approximately 1000 m of altitude in the western of Tunisia. As of his youth, he settles in France to study and live there until now. MEZRI is before a whole engineer, artist and an impassioned scientist. Just after the oil crisis of 1973, he proposes to National Institute of Sciences Applied (France) his solar research program, the THERMOSOLAR, based on analogical science, inspired to natural physical phenomena in fact structure of invertebrates and thermoelectric regulation of reptiles to cold blood using for their thermal solar energy regulation. So MEZRI carries out an analogical research applied not without success to buildings and thermal systems in particular. He initially leads his theoretical and experimental work in departments of concrete and structures, thermal building and physics of materials in INSA (France). Always interested by research, the scientific creates then his own laboratory in the south of same country where he continues and diversifies in independence his works on different subjects and on innovating solar technology.
Some of his work in particular on thermal systems and thermosolar buildings is exploited, sometimes unlawfully, at our days, by high schools and especially by multinational Asiatic and European industrialists. MEZRI was a teacher-researcher of engineer schools in France and in others countries. In industry, he was often in charge to technical management of projects in mechanical, civil and solar engineering.
The Thermosolar !?
Origin . Thermosolar is a scientific and innovating technological name invented by MEZRI Abdou researcher-teacher, in 1973, and title of his solar energy research applied to building and thermal systems.
Thermosolar is a thermal regulation by solar energy of an inert or alive material body of structure, mass, form and colour given. A natural thermal and electric regulation, similar to that used by organic and mineral creatures since of million years. It is changing case of reptiles with cold blood like chameleons of colour under effect of light and medium or of lizards on which thermal regulation depends on solar energy; it is also the example of our planet Ground whose round form alternate day and night necessary to life thanks to solar radiation.
Principle . Among creatures explaining thermosolar principle, the crocodile. This reptile, adapted best to aquatic and terrestrial life extreme, maintains its existence thanks to solar energy. Indeed, animal to control its body temperature, with its covered dermatological skin of comparable scales to tiny solar collectors, collects natural sun radiation and transmits it to its organism to heat and activate it. To refresh itself, the amphibian, plunges in water or buries itself in the fresh ground. To be heated and refresh hem selves again, the reptilian renews the alternate operation of heating-cooling and cycle continues. It is this solar natural biological and thermal mechanism which from now on is applied successfully to various achievements among which panels and thermo solar buildings .
The Courbism
Poetically, Courbism is an art to tame curve. It is mystery by which nature synthesizes creatures and models forms. Forms which, perpetually, stimulate our emotions, act on our emotional reports/ratios and our social structures. Courbism is an art of curve. Like Thermosolar science, it is inspired to natural forms. Such examples of gracious, aerodynamic and sensual shapes of birds but also of shells resistant to extreme constraints, etc.... Such alive forms in evolution since million years, from now on are applied in various fields among which art, design and environment.
Courbism is an analogical art invented by Pr MEZRI, applied to visual art and design... It is an innovating domain object of scientific and artistic research thorough carried out in his workshops in south of France.
Poetically, according to MEZRI, "Courbism is an art to tame curve. It is a mystery by which nature synthesizes creatures and models forms. Forms which, perpetually, stimulate our emotions, act on our emotional reports and our social structures. Without which, art and science would be sterile and life inert".
Fascinated by Courbism, MEZRI say : "I see beauty only through simplicity of courbism which, when this art involves me in depth of dreams, I realize finally that is centre of beauty, law of universe and height of wonders". And he concludes: "if a figurative work is characterized by details, Courbism disregards these details so that total emotional expression of work is essential. A work which leaves to art lover free sensual dialogue which is confirmed by irresistible desire to be let allure by it".
